Moreau Paris Handbags & Tote Bags

The story of Maison Moreau began in the early 19th century as a manufacturer of luxury leather goods and travel cases. Following in the footsteps of Martin-Guillaume Biennais, the master cabinetmaker for Napoléon the 1st and a succession of artisans and trunk makers, the Maison Moreau moved to the prestigious address of 283, rue Saint -Honore in 1882 to satisfy a growing demand for its products. It remained there until the early 20th century, when it ceased trading.

In 2011, the Moreau brand was reborn as Moreau-Paris and is rightfully regaining its share of the spotlight with the release of a new collection of sophisticated shoulder bags and totes. Production is entirely based in France by the most experienced French ateliers and leathers are individually s lected from the most exclusive tanneries. Sold exclusively at Betty Hemmings Leathergoods in Canada, the bags feature expert details like hand-sewn seams and buffed, antiqued leather, giving each bag a unique charm and authenticity.
